Today the rumors for the new Gekko/Aspen Sidekick have been confirmed. The FCC just released the docs on the new phone with the above label, indicating a phone with the ID PV210 manufactured by Sharp. So this just means that there is an actual device in someones hands and in the process of becoming a releasable phone.

The FCC docs don’t give away to much about the new phone. However they do let us know that it will not be taking advantage of T-Mobile’s new 3G network. Other than that we will all just have to wait in anticipation for more news.

Today we have news in the T-Mobile Sidekick wold that there will be a new Sidekick coming out possibly this summer. The name Gekko and Aspen are being tossed around in the rumors for a possible names. From the screenshot it looks as if the new Sidekick is taking some design inspiration from the Sidekick iD. Maybe even with customizable colors as the name Gekko could imply. Other then that there haven’t been any solid details on the new phone.
