It seems that the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide will now be discontinued in the Sidekick lineup. The device used equipment designed by Motorola which had some power issues. Combined with the fact that it was only available in two colors, and it will not be getting the video update makes it hard to compete with the other Sidekick’s.

So if your a fan of the Sidekick Slide now is the time to buy as it will probably only be available in stores for a limited amout of time. Although you can still find a nice stock of the phones online.

Today on May 16, 2008 T-Mobile officially released the brand new Sidekick Slide Scarlet. The new Scarlet colored Slide is now available online as well as retails stores. For the retail cost of $299.99, or $199.99 with a new two year service agreement.

There is really not much of a difference between the two phones other then the new Scarlet color. Now instead of just purple and black you can get scarlet and black.
