T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 Overview

July 30, 2008 – 7:00 am

t-mobile sidekick 2008

T-Mobile’s latest Sidekick is finally out and available for purchase. We also finally have an official name for it well kind of. T-Mobile is packaging it as the T-Mobile Sidekick 2008, but they are referring to it just as the T-Mobile Sidekick.

Anyways the new T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 has some nice improvements over the previous Sidekick LX. The new device is smaller, lighter, and a slightly more modern design weighing in at 4.5 oz. It also has a noticeably better camera with 2 mega pixels, but there where no improvements on the video camera. Also its unfortunately still using the old Edge network instead of the new 3G network.

Probably one of the coolest things about this Sidekick over the previous is the users ability to create custom skins or shells to add on to the device. T-Mobile will also of course will be selling shells for the new phone as well.

Overall its seems like a nice new phone with some good small improvements and a decent price at $149.99 with a two year contract from T-Mobile.
