T-Mobile has just announced that they will be offering cell phone service in some new areas. More specifically the areas that SunCom use to provide service to: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

For all of the Nelly fans out there T-Mobile Sidekick is presenting a live streaming Nelly concert right on MySpace. It will be held today, on September 4th at 6:30PM PST or 9:30PM EST. You can check out all of the details here http://www.myspace.com/sidekick.

There is an issue or bug that has been discovered in the new Sidekick 2008 and the Sidekick LX phones with the video update. There is a currupted .3gp video file out there that has the potential to reset your entire Sidekick. Which just means that you will have to re-download everything and get all of your settings setback up. You can see an example of this happening in the video above.

To protect yourself from someone sending you this file in an email you can take the following precautions. Select Menu->Settings->Attachments->Remove Attachments then in the new menu simply tick the Multimedia box. This will prevent your emails from receiving a video file.

It seems that the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide will now be discontinued in the Sidekick lineup. The device used equipment designed by Motorola which had some power issues. Combined with the fact that it was only available in two colors, and it will not be getting the video update makes it hard to compete with the other Sidekick’s.

So if your a fan of the Sidekick Slide now is the time to buy as it will probably only be available in stores for a limited amout of time. Although you can still find a nice stock of the phones online.

If you are still waiting for your Sidekick LX to get the video OTA update then you might want to watch this video. YouTube user youngplatinummusic has discovered a little trick that will help you get your update.

Step 1. Restart your device
Step 2. Do not sign into any apps or send any data……press menu+ o for good luck lol
Step 3. Watch your G7 for 3 minutes if the white swoosh isnt pulsating fast through the 7 then u need to restart (you can even go to network settings press menu + m if ur bytes recieved start counting fast ur good)
Step 4. Restart your sidekick as many times until your g7 continues to pulsate with white streak FAST & NONSTOP…10 minutes later it should still be moving even when ur not logged into messenger or texting or emailing….once u realize its doing the trick…lay ur sidekick down and in about 30 minutes ur OTA will be here…
